Where does the data come from?
We pull from official UK government sources: DVLA for registration, tax and ownership data; DVSA for full MOT history; and Experian-backed databases for finance and stolen checks on Full History reports.

What's the difference between Standard and Full History?
Standard gives you complete MOT history, mileage analysis, keeper records, ULEZ data and a risk score. Full History adds the three most critical checks before buying: outstanding finance, stolen vehicle status, and insurance write-off category (Cat A/B/S/N) — all backed by Experian.
Can I check any UK registered vehicle?
Yes. Our service covers all vehicles registered in Great Britain with the DVLA, including cars, vans, motorcycles and light commercial vehicles. Northern Ireland registrations may have limited data availability.
What is a Category write-off?
A write-off category is assigned by insurers when a vehicle is damaged. Cat A/B vehicles should be destroyed. Cat S (structural) and Cat N (non-structural) can be repaired and put back on the road — but you should know before buying.
Will the report tell me if the car has finance outstanding?
Yes — on a Full History Check. If the vehicle has outstanding HP, PCP or lease finance registered against it, our report will flag it. Buying a car with outstanding finance means the lender can legally repossess it, even from an innocent buyer.
Do you offer reports for dealers or trade buyers?
Yes. Our 3-check (£19.99) and 5-check (£29.99) bundles are ideal for dealers, traders and private buyers shortlisting multiple vehicles. Each check in a bundle is a full Full History report.
